Dopo aver annunciato il proprio ritorno con la formazione (quasi al 100%) originale e un singolo al fulmicotone, i torinesi Cibo rilanciano e alzano la posta in gioco. Da un sodalizio nato durante un sudato e infuocato live nell’aprile del 2019, nasce l’idea di produrre uno split EP con i padovani Beelzebeat, autori di un ibrido insolito, tra grindcore e psychobilly che bene si adatta alla stravaganza creativa della controparte torinese.
Ogni canone di un genere come il grindcore viene stravolto, rivisto e per certi versi reso caricatura, frutto dell’impegno di questi due gruppi a non voler prendere tutto sul serio, ma sotto sotto dimostrando di voler fare le cose seriamente, bene e senza lasciare nulla al caso, in un apparente caos sonoro che in realtà si rivela essere molto attento ai dettagli compositivi in un genere musicale borderline e sicuramente non proprio adatto ai cuori deboli.
